We recommend a sightseeing tour of the Mikulov historical centre to walking tourists. You may use guided tours or to start your own tour in the footprints of History.



Guided tours

City guided tours are organized by the T.I.C. Periodical summer tours daily at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Meetings are always in front of the T.I.C. building (right in the square next to the Town Hall building. Minimum 5 person required.

Program of the guided tours:

10:00 a.m. – Historical square, castle park, Jewish district, Jewish cemetery.

6:00 p.m. – Historical square, castle park, castle cellars with giant barrel, Jewish district.

Entrance fee: adults 45,00 CZK; children, students, seniors 25,00 CZK.

Should you prefer individual sightseeings, we recommend you to visit the following sights:

Ditrichštejnská hrobka (The Dietrichstein Tomb) – right at the square
June-August (Mon-Sun) 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
April, May, September, October (Tue-Sun) 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Mikulov Castle - 3 sightseeing tours.
May - September (Tue-Sun) 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
April - October (Tue-Sun) 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ossuary - in the Svatý Václav/St. Wenceslas Church in the square.
June, August (Mon-Sun) 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Goat Tower (Kozí hrádek) - A dominant observation tower over the town. Open if a flag flies.

Synagogue - A part of education trail, tracing the Jewish District in Husova Street.
21.05. to 30.09. (Tue-Sun) 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Jewish Cemetery - on the side of the Kozí vrch (Kozí = The Goat Tower), (below the observation tower).
June to August (Mon-Sun) 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

You can get the most beautiful view on Mikulov from The Holy Hill, 25 minutes to walk from the square.

In the hot summer weather we recommend to visit the Turold Cave. It is known as one of the most significant bat wintering sites.
