Eliška Tavern

An original wine cellar, which had been owned by a neighbouring Piarist Monastery, then newly re-constructed and opened in October 2003. It is a part of the Eliška Hotel Complex and offers 95 persons an opportunity to sit at a glass of a good wine. The Tavern includes an open air fireplace and a separate wine room. Offer for groups: buffet dinners, cultural programme, live music, dulcimer music.

Hot Buffet: steaks, toasts, goulash, chicken legs. Old Czech Buffet: cheese (Edam, Emmenthal, Hermelín, Niva, ...), fish, smoked meat, vegetable salads Butcher’s Buffet: butcher soup, white puddings, black puddings, porkpies, butcher goulash, 3 kinds of side-dish, cabbage.

The Wine Collection Room offers up to 150 kinds of wine of different types (cabinet, late harvest, bunch selection, grape selection, botritic harvest, ice, straw), sorts and years. Kosher wines represent a specific offer. The wines listed represent the Mikulov Wine Region, which is the second largest wine region in the Czech Republic concerning a vineyard area. Particularly, Veltlínské zelené (Veltlin Green), Ryzlink vlašský i rýnský (Italian/Rhine Riesling), Sauvignon and Chardonnay sorts and a number of newly selected sorts such as Pálava and Aurelius are grown on largely limestone and sandstone soils.
